New Goals for 2023

Recently, I’ve received invitations to exhibit my paintings at local galleries and to attend exhibits. Thank you all so much for thinking of me and know that I admire what you do. I support you all! Your work is important to the community and much needed. I admire your hard work, setting up gallery shows, transporting all that work to various locations…all those hours of love and dedication…the artists, curators, gallery owners. However, my main focus and circumstances have changed.

At this point in my life, I have had novels, poetry, short stories, nonfiction, photography and art published. I plan to keep writing and making visual art until I can no longer do so. My main emphasis right now is to work with publishers–and in publishing–with each expression of art that I make. It’s a solution that combines my writing and visual art. Also, in the past, it felt as though my energy was scattered…too many projects and commitments. And as I get older, driving into the city and at night, is difficult. This doesn’t mean that I won’t return…or participate in select exhibitions.

I am also dedicated to serving the community in my own way. I volunteer at a nearby food pantry whenever I can. It’s sad that so many people in my area are poor and have to wait in line for food. I try to get there as often as I can…and let’s not forget my passion to care for felines. Right now, I care for two elderly tortoise shell cats, and a mama cat, along with her two sons. They fill my life so much!

More good news is that I’ve signed several contracts regarding fiction so far this year. In addition, I have numerous projects in the works.

Some of the paintings and drawings I’ve created over the years. Several date back to the 80s…others are more recent. Some may be familiar to you, others not so much.
